SFR Service Technician II (Assistant Maintenance)

Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (Hourly non-exempt position)

We are looking for an assistant maintenance technician for our 262-home single-family rental community in San Antonio! As Service Technician II, you will be responsible for assisting the SFR Service Supervisor in maintaining the physical integrity of the community at all times. Requirements

• At least two years of maintenance experience in multi-family or single-family property management.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
• Weekends as circumstances warrant; on-call every other week for emergencies.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing basic and complex maintenance issues including, but not limited to A/C and heating systems, electrical and plumbing, appliances, stairs, gates, fences, patios, railings, tile, carpet, flooring, and ceiling leaks.
• Inspecting and helping coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services, completing a duties checklist to ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready as required.
• Walking the property grounds and common areas, correcting unsafe conditions, and picking up trash and debris.
• Must be able to assume all maintenance responsibilities in the absence of the SFR Service Supervisor. 
• Performs any additional duties assigned by the SFR Service Supervisor or SFR Community Manager.

Work Days: Monday – Friday
Work Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; on-call every other week for emergencies.
Required License or Certification:

• Valid Driver’s License in the state where the property is located, or a neighboring state in proximity to the property where applicable.
• Must have Level II or Universal EPA Refrigerant Certification.
